Bryan Johnson, a 46-year-old software millionaire, has garnered attention for his impressive journey to enhance his posture. Known for his efforts to reverse his biological age, Johnson shared on social media how five key habits led to significant improvements. His journey began after an MRI scan revealed a "ticking time bomb" concerning his posture.
In his posts, Johnson expressed his shock at the MRI findings, saying, "I didn't realize how terrible my posture was until it showed it was slowly killing my brain." The scan indicated that his posture was restricting blood flow to his brain, affecting its circulation to the heart. He highlighted the serious risks involved, pondering whether he might experience a seizure or stroke because of his condition. Johnson stressed that many people could be at risk due to similar poor posture habits.
"Our posture norms are pretty bad," he remarked, pointing out common behaviors like slumping in chairs and looking down at screens for long periods. Johnson noted that poor posture has become normalized, leading to various negative health effects, including musculoskeletal pain, circulatory issues, digestive problems, impaired lung function, nerve compression, spinal misalignment, increased stress, fatigue, mood changes, lower motivation, and even sleep disturbances.
